reflective practice

As part of our course work during teaching practice, we were required to part take in weekly reflections in relation to our teaching and overall school experience. It was particularly helpful as regular reflectivity keeps you aware and accountable of your teaching and makes one strive to improve where they feel they are inadequate. These reflections were conducted using the Brookfield Four Lens (self, colleague, student and theoretical perspective). Below is an example of a reflection conducted in relation to summative assessment with rubrics and id they are fit for purpose.

'The reflexive, learning dimension for artist teachers as the interrogate and problematise their own positions as teachers and artists; an epistemology of practice as artist teachers maintain a critical stance towards their practice'

(Hall. J, 2010)
